A fun little game of This or That, except it’s the Writer’s Edition! I thought this would be fun to sharing my reading and writing habits with you all. What would be your picks? Let me know in the comments.
Pen ποΈ or Pencil βοΈ

Pen. I used to love pencils as a child but as an adult I tend to use pens now 99% of the time.
Notebook π or Laptop π»

I’m old school, give me a pen and a paper!
Fiction π¦ or Nonfiction π°

Fiction! My favorite genre (mentioned below) reflects this answer too.
Short Story π or Novel π’

I can read both, but I prefer novels. Full length stories have always been my jam.
First Person π or Third Person π€

First person. I love reading and writing through one person’s point-of-view.
Morning Writing βοΈ or Night Writing π

Even though I’m a night owl, I prefer to write in the morning. I feel my head is a bit clearer then.
Writing at a Desk πͺ or Writing Outdoors π³

Writing at my desk. I am too easily distracted by things outdoors to write in that atmosphere, lol.
Writing Alone π§βπ» or Writing in a Group π©βπ»π¨βπ»

It’s nothing personal, I’ve just always been a solo writer. I get more writing done that way.
Editing as You Go βοΈ or Editing After Finishing π

I do both. To make easier on my future self I try to edit as I go to make the whole writing process smoother.
Writing with Music πΆ or Writing in Silence π€«

Music! Iβve recently got into Lofi in the past couple of years. I love how calming it is and how it provides a good ambiance to any room you listen in. Theyβve been really helpful for background music for blog writing (writing in general), cleaning up, studying, or working.Β
Writing for Fun π or Writing for Publication π

I actually enjoy both. But for this answer I’ll lean over to writing for fun. It allows me to be whimsical and very creative.
Fantasy π or Realism ποΈ

It’s my favorite genre of books to read and I love getting lost in other worlds.
Writing Letters π or Writing Journals π

Though people may think snail mail is outdated, I feel the opposite. Snail mail has not only made its resurgence but also become even more significant. Itβs another outlet to share our feelings during this difficult time and one way to bring each other closer.
